Youth means the age of hopes, plans, ideas, enthusiasm, pleasure and promises. In the present scenario, young people of our country face diverse challenges and risks. Which are related to youth transition processes, educational decisions and also due to their chosen undertakings and situations that are part of their cultural activities. Further, the risk and insecurity is generated by the current economic situation which highly affects the lives of youth across the world. Thus, there is a need to develop and enhance understanding towards the actual conditions of youths and motivate them for their more active participation in the national prosperity through science, technology and innovation.
In the context of the primary motto of the Government of Nepal “Prosperous Nepal – Happy Nepali”, the development of science and technology plays pivotal role. We need to modernize agriculture promoting green and sustainable economy through mechanization and harnessing green ways and enhancing agricultural production, establish and promote industrial developments based on our own natural resources, and utilize science, technology and innovation as vehicles for nation’s development. Thus, it is high time to empower our young scientists by bringing their contributions, aspirations and dreams to the mainstream of the national policies and action plans. In this connection the endeavour of the Ministry of Industries, Tourism, Forest and Environment of the Government of State No. 3 to organize a National Young Scientists Conference is very timely and encompasses the need of the hour. As per the call of the Ministry of Industries, Tourism, Forest and Environment (MoTFE) of the Government of State No. 3, Research Centre for Applied Science and Technology (RECAST), Tribhuvan University is pleased to propose to collaborate in the named National Young Scientists Conference 2019.
